From the desert to the mountains. Galaxy take the gold in Bishkek.

Dubai doesn't have a winter. So when our veteran Warriors wanted a real tournament, they did what Galaxy always does: they packed the bags and went looking for one. This time the destination was Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, and one of the strongest adult invitationals in the region: the President's Cup, played out over eleven days at the Nomad Arena.

The squad: Galaxy's 40+ veterans, the players who built this club, still lacing up and still chasing silverware. They travelled with the GLXY flag, the purple jerseys, and a few of the team's kids along for the ride.

Group games against established Central Asian sides and knockout hockey under the lights. The veterans leaned on what they've always had: discipline, smart positional play, and a goaltender who held the line when it mattered.

It set up a final against Typhoon HC. Final whistle, medals on, trophy in hand, and the youngest members of the travelling party out on the ice with the flag, the way every Galaxy celebration ends.

None of these trips happen alone. The Bishkek campaign was powered by AMYLCO, Galaxy's general partner, with Al Shaab Village, Zielinski & Rozen and friends of the club backing the squad from the stands.
