Who can take lessons

From a child's first time on the ice to adults stepping into hockey for the first time, there's a class for you. Our youth groups have grown into Junior Hockey League champions, with U9 and U12 golds and U18 bronze for the young Warriors.

When classes run

A typical training week

On-ice lessons run at Sport Society (Mirdif) and Sharjah, with off-ice conditioning at Kite Beach. Junior groups U9/U12 and U16/U18 train at staggered times; adult sessions and pick-up games run through the week.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I take ice hockey lessons in Dubai?

At Galaxy Hockey Academy. On-ice lessons run at our home arena, Sport Society in Mirdif, and in Sharjah, with off-ice conditioning at Kite Beach. We coach youth groups from U6 to U18 and adults at all levels.

Do I need my own equipment for hockey classes?

No, rental gear is available. For beginners, newcomers to Dubai and tourists, a full rental set of skates, sticks, helmet and pads is on hand, so you can just come and skate. There's also a pro-shop on the ground floor of Sport Society for skate sharpening and gear.

Is the first lesson really free?

Yes. Your first trial lesson is free for both kids and adults, at all levels, with no commitment. Send us the age group and a note about any experience, and we'll match you to the right class.

Do I need to be able to skate before joining?

No. We welcome all levels, including complete beginners. Coaches build skating technique and game development from the ground up, and we also run a Learn to Skate programme.

Are private one-on-one lessons available?

Our regular classes are coached in age-based groups by professional coaches. If you're interested in personal sessions, message us on WhatsApp with the player's age and level and we'll let you know the options.
